Suicide / Awareness Prevention UK safe space information;

When SAPUK first began its journey, we never intended on our support being needed as much as it has been, so over the years of understanding, engaging and having a community focus, SAPUK has opened Safe Spaces to accommodate for some local communities needs;

These spaces are safe zones for suicidal ideations / thoughts / actions and we welcome anyone who may be struggling to navigate these. Each space is different and it will depend on facilitator and group size on how each group is engaged with;

We are currently based, Dewsbury / Lancashire with Safe Spaces;

DEWSBURY – 

Our Dewsbury Safe Space was opened in October 2024 and is facilitated by Heidi on Tuesdays, currently she is occupying Dewsbury Chickenley Children’s centre (video below)

DEWSBURY – 

Our 2nd safe space here will be opening soon;

BLACKBURN – 

Our safe space here is facilitated by Danielle on the first Monday of every month 5-8pm at The Observatory, Blackburn

LONGRIDGE – 

Every two weeks alongside the weekly market;

DARWEN – 

Our safe space here is on the first Tuesday of every month with Urban Seed in Darwen; Times to be confirmed.

GREAT HARWOOD – 

Our safe space here is on the second Monday of every month with free boxing sessions for all ages. 4pm – 7pm
